CONFEDERATE PENSIONS.

Eighty-Five Applicants Examined Before Tuesday Noon.

Dr. A. C. Crow and Prof. Lockhart Bibb, pension examiners for Lauderdale County under the new law, have been very busy for the past week examining applicants for pensions. Eighty-five applications were looked into before Tuesday noon, and the examiners thought that the list would reach one hundred before the time expires tonight (Thursday.)

PENSION MONEY


Lauderdale Ex-Confederates Who Receive State Aid.


Warrants from the Auditor for Ex Confederate soldiers and widows of soldiers whose claims have been favorably acted upon are now in the hands of the Probate Judge, and will be delivered on application. The Times here gives the list of the fortunate ones. The amount due the larger number is $11.88. There are only four different from this, namely: J. C. Orr $15.84; C. L. Weems $15.84; John H. Martin $15.84; John C. Carr $1_. 80.
