BALENTINE - PUGH
Date: 7 Nov 2003
From: Sonya McLauchlin
Does anyone have ANY information at all on Leander Balentine who was married to Martha Alice Pugh and had 8 children with her? I'm guessing he would've been born somewhere around 1880, and maybe married around 1900 or so. They lived in Lauderdale Co., AL and he left her sometime in the 1920's and remarried a woman by a name of Ruby (?) or something close. They moved to Arkansas and had more children. I have reason to believe his MOTHER was a Balentine, and he took her last name. I also believe he died in the 1950's and was buried in Lauderdale County. ANYthing would be appreciated.
